Shocking service from MTN
I have been an MTN client ever since cellphones were available in SA. Loyalty should be valued but MTN is unable to do or understand this. I receive umpteen unsolicited and unwanted calls from MTN regularly, all starting with mispronouncing my name but failing to introduce themselves. There is usually an offer for increased minutes, airtime,SMSs etc——once the offer is accepted, nothing EVER materialises. A was recently called with the promise of a new router plus extra time. The call took ages with me having to confirm name, ID, address etc——at no time did I know who I was speaking to. I was told that I needed to present proof of ID on delivery. Sure enough, delivery was scheduled but they refused to accept either a passport or driver’s licence as proof of ID. My ID card was ****** during a high jacking last year and it had been impossible to get any joy from Home Affairs to replace this. So, no promised router or other benefits. But does this stop the irritating phone calls? No such luck. After telling the caller this morning that I am NOT interested, she phoned me three times thereafter to argue with me. I do not need or want anything from MTN!! They do not appreciate customer loyalty and they need to spend time training staff on telephone manners. Time for a new service provider——- GOODBYE MTN!!!
