Shocking service from a leading cell phone company - MTN

I had a contract with MTN which expired on 02-11-2016. I mailed MTN on 28-09-2016 to give them 30days notice to cancel the contract. I had to send numerous emails just to get a response from MTN if they have received my cancellation notice. I sent mails on 03-10-2016, 04-10-2016 and 06-10-2016 and they only rep**** on 07-10-2016 to say they acknowledge my cancellation. In the email they stated if I wish to migrate to prepaid I should contact them on 03-11-2016. On 10-10-2016 I sent a mail stating that I want to retain my one cellphone nr and cancel the other cellphone nr. On 18-10-2016 they rep**** stating that the one nr will be cancelled and said that I must send a request for migration on 03-11-2016. On the 24th of November MTN sent me an Invoice which came to my surprise, since I cancelled the contract. I sent a mail on 24-11-2016 to enquire why I was billed. MTN didn't reply and I sent another email on 28-11-2016 and 30-11-2016 to enquire about the billing begging them to explain to me why I'm being billed. and why is my statement showing an outstanding balance. On 30-11-2016 MTN rep**** stating that they haven't received my request to merge my number to prepaid, but didn't bother to explain why I have an outstanding balance showng on my statement as request in my email to them. After all the emails I've sent and the few they bothered to reply on the never explained to me that if I do not send the request for migration on the 03-11-2016 that normal billing will continue. In their previous email they even said that if I wish to migrate I must send the request. I didn't wish to be billed without any explanation whatsoever and if someone explained to me that if I don't send the request I will be billed then I would have told them immediately that they must rather cancel the number. Why must customers be a reminder service, why couldn't MTN email me on 03-11-2016 to ask if I wish to migrate to prepaid? Surely if billing will continue then MTN must make it clear to customer's and not just keep quiet about it. I was under the assumption if I don't send them my request to migrate then the nr will just be cancelled, just to get a nasty surprise at the end of the month! I mailed MTN back on 30-11-2016 stating that I don't find it in order at all, because no one explained it to me and I made it very clear to them that I want the number to be cancelled, because I don't want anything to do with MTN anymore. MTN's invoice they sent me was for R450 on 01-12-2016 they debited my account with R837.98 I haven't received any answers from them and then they go and debit my account with a larger amount then what they invoiced me, again with NO EXPLANATION. I sent a mail on 01-12-2016 to enquire why this happened and what is the reason for it and also gave them my contact details to contact me. I told them in the email if I don't get an answer by 12:00 that they then I will reverse the unauthorised debit order. On 05-12-2016 MTN responded to my mail stating again that they still haven't received my migration request, which is really funny since I sent them a mail on 30-11-2016 to cancel the number since I'm not interested in being a MTN customer anymore. I also made it very clear that the reasons they provide me with is unacceptable as it was never explained to me. On I requested again for a manager to call me and explain everything to me, since I'm not happy with the reasons they are providing. Only 17 days later MTN responded on 19-12-2016 stating that the outstanding invoices was for invoice dd 20-10-2016 and invoice dd 20-11-2016 which clearly doesn't make sense since my invoice dd 20-10-2016 was paid on 01-11-2016. So now they are not just billing me unnecessary, they are billing me for invoices I already paid! On 20-12-2016 I asked them if their explanation that they provided me regarding the outstanding invoices for the amount of R885.38, if it is the total for October and November invoices and still no answer. On 24-12-2016 MTN sent me another invoice billing me once again. I sent them a mail making it very clear that I'm still waiting for feedback on all my other emails and after sending them a mail stating clearly that I don't want this number and I want it to be cancelled, they simply continued with the billing. MTN doesn't action any of my requests but are quick to debit my account with unauthorised debit orders. On 04-01-2017 I sent them another mail telling them that I'm still waiting for answers on previous mails and MTN doesn't see it as important to contact me regarding my query so I don't see it as important to pay them. I also made it very clear that if I get a bad credit record because of MTN I will take it further. On 05-01-2017 MTN mailed me saying the following: Kindly note that the number have now been migrated to prepaid, but however the amount of R1327.88 that has been scheduled to your account on the 03-01-2017 needs to go off successfully and last bill amount be R442.50 needs to go of on the 01-02-2017 so that you can square up with MTN regarding your payments. How can MTN send me a mail saying how much I owe and when I must pay it to be square with MTN. When does MTN decide to answer me on all my previous emails? I send the cancellation on 30 Nov and only 5 January they notify me that the number has been migrated after I made it very clear that I don't want anything to do with MTN and I want the number to be cancelled! So MTN can just continue to bill me until they decide when they process the request, how does it work like that? Surely they must go back to the date the cancellation was sent! I have requested numerous times that someone calls me, but MTN doesn't see it important enough to deliver customer service but they see it important to mail me to tell me when I am square with MTN!!!!
