SHOCKING SERVICE

After 2 years of bad service from Telkom, I decided to change to MTN. Supposedly the best network in South Africa. Well since signing a 2 year contract two weeks ago I have had nothing but problems. You cannot get help via email or contacting their client service on 083 135. The whatsapp chat line *** does not work. When you dial 083 135 and follow the prompts, I was told to dial "0" to speak to an agent. When I dial 0 it says "invalid option " I went into the MTN Store in Table Bay Mall yesterday and Dennis told me my query relating to my ADSL Line can only be sorted out by speaking to an agent. I have been trying for FOURTY MINUTES to get someone to help me. In the past 14 days since changing to MTN I have been offline THREE TIMES. May I add that it took MTN FOUR working days to do a credit check to see if I am eligible for an amount of R300 per month. I have a PLATINUM CREDIT CARD AND GOLD CHEQUE ACCOUNT. No Bond and a fully paid up car. Still waited FOUR DAYS for an approval. If this is how things start with MTN maybe we just cancel the contract and I take my hard earned money elsewhere

Day FIVE without internet. MTN IS IN BREACH OF CONTRACT. I have SEVENTEEN emails to your so called "Customer Care" 12 messages on Facebook Messenger, 3 Whatsapp Chatline messages and 1 call to Lungelo Ref No. SMC*** dated 08 April 2022. 1 call and 3 emails to Jabulile Myeni Ref No. *** dated 08 April and 11 April 2022. I have been promised that technicians will be calling me. And yet, here I sit 16 DAYS into a new contract and the internet has only been connected for THREE DAYS. WHAT SHOCKING SERVICE.

After EIGHTY NINE emails sent to MTN ***, ***, *** and *** all with NO RESULTS. I have cancelled my debit order with my bank and have sent numerous emails stating that my contract has been BREACHED BY MTN. THEY NEVER SUPP**** THE SERVICE MENTIONED IN THE CONTRACT. I REFUSE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING I AM NOT RECIEVING. AS CAN BE SEEN. MTN HAVE NOT EVEN BOTHERED TO RESPOND TO MY HELLOPETER COMPLAINTS. MTN ARE TOTALLY USELESS AND ARROGANT THINKING THEY CAN TREAT THE PUBLIC ANY WAY THEY CHOOSE. IF I FIND OUT MTN HAS BLACKLISTED ME FOR NON PAYMENT I WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION AND MTN WILL PAY FOR ALL LEGAL FEES. THIS IS A PROMISE NOT A THREAT

FINALLY, after SIXTY DAYS and literally 100's of emails, messages on Facebook Messenger, posts on Hellopeter, phone calls, emails to MTN CEO RALPH MUPITA, I now get an email from MTN stating they have no coverage in my area (Melkbosstrand) 15kms away from Cape Town, the 2nd largest city in South Africa and said they will cancel my contract without penalties. Can you believe their arrogance, NO PENALTIES. I'm the one who should be paid penalties by MTN. They are IN BREACH OF CONTRACT. I have filed a complaint with ICASA and will be seeking legal counsel as I have spent time, money, petrol and spent money on mobile data just so I can get things done on the internet. MTN WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY LOSSES. Big businesses think they can "BULLY" the public. Well they chose the wrong person to mess with. SERVICE SOUTH AFRICA PLEASE. PLEASE PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM MTN. YOU WON'T BE SORRY
