Absolutely DISGUSTED with what we have had to put up with over the last 2 days. A phone was ****** - we reported it and went in to MTN Stellenbosch Square to block the SIM and get a sim swop. Chad had to pee so he handed it to Robin. Who assured us that the SIM has been disconnected but the new one will take 24 hours to reconnect. So we wait. After 26 hours I decide to phone the number only to discover the number is active and yet the SIM my boyfriend has is not.
We phoned MTN and were informed that a message was sent to the ****** phone stating that a SIM swop was requested AND THE GUY WHO STOLE THE PHONE CANCELLED THE REQUEST!
The call center then cancelled the SIM. We rushed to Stellenbosch square to get a new SIM swop and find out WHY this happened as we had informed them the phone was ******.
Robin was at a loss for words and Jason has argumentative.
The procedure was performed again but no apologies were offered. After being told it would take another 24 hours (which has already resulted in loss of revenue for our business and goodness knows WHAT the person who took the phone has called or done) we phoned MTN to beg for this to be sped up.
Not an hour later the phone was online. HOW????????? How was this not possible on Friday when this was reported?
I have a recording of today's conversation with the Stellenbosch Square guys - and while I salute Robin for handling our frustrated shouting - I still cannot believe that this is procedure at MTN when CellC had my SIM swop done and phone blacklisted within 2 hours.
We are expecting itemized billing and WILL NOT BE PAYING FOR ANY ACTIVITY ON THAT NUMBER from the time we were at the Stellenbosch Branch.

We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
Please be advised that to prevent SIM swap *****, we send an SMS to the number that has requested the SIM swap to either authorise or decline the SIM swap. The SIM card was only suspended on 2016-11-26, so we have escalated the matter to the store management to investigate and advise accordingly. Kindly dispute the usage once the invoice dated 2016-12-20 is finalized.
Rest assured it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
