Services suspended - due to MTN app**** limit
I have been a MTN client for the last 15 years I reckon. My account was recently moved from Nashua Mobile to MTN. <br> I have always paid my account which is on contract by debit order without default.<br> Today, I lost cellphone reception and when I tried to make a call I get an error message that says \services have been suspended. Please contact provider"<br> I phoned MTN call centre where the message is \""Our services have been disrupted and the Call Centre is closed\"":<br> I e-mailed the customer care. The response I got was that I had reached my credit limit of R 446. I have never asked for a credit limit and have never been subject to a suspended account. My monthly bill is about 4-6 times the credit limit that has been arbitrarily imposed on my account. <br> What a load of absolutely nonsense - who applies a \""credit limit\"" of 1/5 of the client's average spend and how can a limit be app**** without any client consent? """
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences and the delayed duration spent on trying to resolve the query. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
The matter has been referred to the management of our Billing team for urgent attention. They will investigate your credit limit and feedback to you with a way forward. Please however do be advised that the resolution might be delayed due to the National Strike that MTN is currently undergoing.
Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We do look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
