Service Suspended After Debit Order
This is happening for the second time now. First in January and again now in March. I received a message that reads "Y'ello. We've had to suspend your ability to make outgoing calls as you've exceeded your MTN credit limit of R***.**". In January I was able to call the call centre however, this time I'm not.
I would like to receive a valid explanation as to why this happens just after you have debited your money on the date we agreed on. None of these debit orders have bounced, the money is on your side, but then my service us suspended.
It's difficult to understand how that would happen.

Thank you for your post.
We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
The account is has been unbarred. I tried to reach out to you, unfortunately you were not available on your number. In order to avoid this, you can call 135 and ask to be transferred to our credit management for a slight credit limit increase.

02 Apr 2019, 11:01Hi Mazwi,
Thank you for your response. I was in a meeting when you called and could therefore not answer your call.
I have had a contract with MTN since 2014 and this has never happened. My most recent upgrade was in January 2018 and for a whole year, I did not experience this issue.
Please advise why requesting a credit limit increase will resolve the issue when my credit limit has been the same for a year. Is there something that has changed on my contract?
Thank you.
