Service negligence

We have been clients of MTN from 2014. As customers do, we went to the first point of contact at the MTN shop. We where provided with an amount to ensure our account is paid up to date. We are currently in the situation where the MTN company disconnected our primary mobile line by stating that our account is in arrears. There is no communication platform to discuss the matter or any way to reconnect the line without paying the undue amount as provided by MTN. They do not consider evidence provided by the customer and only accept their word as true. Secondly we attempted to cancel a contract with them and no contact was provided to us. At the MTN shop the representatives notified us that everything is in order and the cancellation matter closed. Now we have to pay for an account we wanted closed months ago because of your staff's service negligence.

The moment money is due they are all over you and do not accept anything or any evidence provided. Contact is only provided when it suits them. I have attempted to call MTN and there is no answer or have been on hold for 30 minutes. This is not the way to handle business.

MTN kindly inform your staff to take a matter and not disregard your clients evidence. I ask you.. why would we pay the full amount outstanding when in fact you are going disconnect us for having an arrears account?
