I sent through a cellphone claim to ***, after i reported the phone lost to both MTN and SAPS. MTN and SAPS gave me reference numbers that i included on the MTN claims form as required. The insurance company then requested i go back to SAPS to complete an affidavit for the lost phone.
There is no communication on the process and anyway, i have been to SAPS to report the lose, a case number and the name of the police station is on the MTN claim form. SAPS have acknowledged the report by issuing a case number but yet MTN Insurance Claims department wants me to go back to the SAPS to sign an affidavit. What sense does these make? Is this a way to delay and frustrate me as a client ?? I called in to find out how far my claim was that's when i got this ridiculous request to sign an affidavit at a SAPS station. Tried to speak to the supervisor of *** ( Elizabeth) who refused to give me her full name and was very RUDE.
I am looking for new insurance company that has practical and sensible processes. MTN Insurance is a JOKE.
