Selling products that don't work properly.

I bought earpods from the MTN store at Chilli Lane Sunninghill, Sandton and when I went to go return them because they were faulty, with my receipt in hand as proof of purchase they refused to exchange them. I complained via email at the poor service and nothing has been done for over a month. Almost R300 for something that doesn't work properly.
