SA's best service provider??? Absolutely NOT!!!

absolutely terrible customer service, after experiencing a smash and grab on 1st September 2025, i called to have the device blocked, went into the store the very next day to reactivate the number(which is my business contact number) and do a sim swap, was told that i have to wait 2-24 hours for the number to be reactivated, waited until the following Saturday only to be told that the number was not reactivated, again I was told to wait another 2-24 hours, the next day Sunday, I called 135, only to be told that the number was still not reactivated. on Monday after work I went back into my local branch on the 8th where the only helpful person it seems in the whole of MTN, Taylin at the bluff branch, figured out that the number was a contract number but wasn't on my profile, he logged a ticket to have the number put on my MTN profile, once this was done I went back into the store on the 13th to do my sim swap only to have it ask for my ID smart card (which was ****** during the smash and grab) I had taken my green ID book which was not accepted, i tried to use my passport which was rejected as the system was saying it expired in 2009 (my passport actually expires in 2032), Taylin then called the IT help desk (or who ever helps with Biometrics) to be told that they are not working on the weekend and he must call in the week, during the week he was told that he needs to fail the facial recognition until it asks for finger prints, went in on the 20th to try with my fingerprints only for that to be rejected, i was then advise to go into a direct branch which i did today at the Umhlanga branch where the interaction didn't even last 15 minutes because the lady I dealt with was not helpful at all, her resolution??? i need to go and apply for a new smart ID card (which in SA we know will take another 1 - 3 months) and then i can get access back to my contract??? you mean to tell me with how big MTN is there is no way around (with valid Green ID book that i can use to vote with or a valid passport that i can use to leave the country) there is absolutely NO WAY around this on your system???!!! but come the end of this month my FULL debit order will go off, one thing MTN have definitely proved to me with this whole experience is that their is no care for their customers at all and that i need to cancel all my contracts with them and move to a different provider... My only thanks goes to Taylin at the MTN bluff branch for his dedication to trying to help find a solution.
