Samsung Galaxy S7

I was given a Samsung Galaxy S7 on my contract upgrade. This phone has now, as most S7 I have been told, started to overheat. The problem is so severe that Samsung know of this problem to the point that airlines are not wanting these devices to go on their air craft. I have taken this phone to Samsung twice, and still have a problem. Now I want a new phone and am being tossed from pillar to post between Samsung and MTN with no joy. My argument is that both these business knowingly gave me this device when it has this problem with overheating, and now that I am complaining about this, both are turning the responsibility to the other party. It is my opinion that MTN should be liable for this as it was through them that I was given this phone. Be careful with MTN because they sell you products that the manufacturer has admitted has a problem.
