Sales consultant not giving correct information

I have been contacted by MTN i can upgrade. Upgraded 2 contract on the 3 May 2023 I asked the sales consultant if there would be any penalies as the contact only ended in July 23 The sales consultant assured me that i will keep paying the old contact and only in July start paying the new contrac and there would not be any supprises. So when i received my statement i get a suprise, I have to pay early upgrade fees of R2843.36 If the consultant was upfront i would waited untill July 23 to upgrade I am very dissaponted as i do not have the funds to pay that amount.
