Rudely hanging up the phone now allowed as a customer service representative?

I phoned customer service to get a proof of purchase issue resolved as I was an Altech Autopage customer and have been having difficulties getting the right do***entation to book my phone in for repairs. Firstly, I understand that the Autopage closure makes things difficult but me as a client cannot just sit back and be okay with the fact that this was not prepared or streamlined for so as to ***ist your customers better. This was a simple contract that I needed and is the first and most important thing that is supposed to be sent to the client after a change like this. I tried phoning a bunch of MTN support numbers that I found on the Altech website after the closure and none of them worked. I tried the Insurance number for MTN and it only rang to a point where the phone was hung up. After entering my number as well I was told that my phone was not covered under insurance? As I've been paying for it for a few years now I struggle to understand this. You phone to get an issue sorted out only to have another one pop up. This only tells me that your system management is terribly maintained. I eventually got a hold of a representative (which funnily enough is the nr one is supposed to dial from a non MTN sum, and I phoned from my MTN contract Sim directly relating to the issue. Another ***** up. The representative I spoke to was unable to ***ist me and when I asked to speak to a manager or team leader, she refused. I am a paying customer. I cannot believe that I get refused to speak to management. SHE EVENTUALLY HUNG UP THE PHONE IN MY EAR WITH NO REASON AS TO WHY???

I'm not someone that complains easily, as I work with customers myself and understand that things aren't always as they seem, but this is plainly unacceptable, and not that I think they care, but I will not be renewing my contract with MTN. I am also going to have my family currently on MTN move to another provider as soon as theyre contract expires. I have never needed MTN's ***istance once in my many years of being a customer. And the one single time I needed their help (which I'm paying for by the way) and I get a cold shoulder. Completely retarded service. To be honest I didn't expect anything less.
