Rude service advisors

I app**** for a cellphone contract online for my daughter and was still busy with it, when I recieved a call from an MTN service advisor.

The lady explained she needed to verify a few detials and she can see that I am already an MTN customer. I verified address, email, cellphone number and partial ID when I stopped and said I will not be giving the rest as it is clear I am who I said I am and I can do my ID verification in store.

I was rudely interrupted and said I need to do it on the phone, I explained that to even request this on the phone is ridiculous with all the crime going on and that I was a victim of Identity theft previously. I askek how can she expect me to believe she is a MTN representative by just saying so but I need to verify ID over the phone, I said again I will go into the store.

She was rude again and hung up the phone.

This was totally unacceptable and I logged a ticket with MTN complaints. I stated what happened, I clearly mentioned I will not be providing my ID over the phone and know I can verify in store. With this I can the exact time of the call and my number to pull the call records. I KNOW THIS CAN BE DONE LIKE THAT. As I have built many call centre systems for companies larger and smaller than MTN. This is my trade and I have been doing it for many years.

I received a mail from a "Mike" from complaints requesting my ID to pulle the recording. That was just to much and I told him to close the ticket as he clearly did not even read the complaint. I said I will not be providing my ID over the phone, now he expects me to send it to him.....a MIKE.....just Mike from MTN.

Tonight again he tried his luck to tell me an ID is required to retrieve my call.....these guys are just to funny. Complaints might be worse than service advisors.....I told him this.

MTN get your act together and get with the times.

P.S forget about the phone contract I was assisted by your competitors who assisted with professionalism!!!!!
