Had a data contract with mtn that lapsed on the 29t of november last year, i destroyed the sim card on the 10th of december and from then tried in vein to completely cancel the contract through their call center, who when hearing you want to cancel will transfer you to different consultants and eventually make you hold for hours until you give up. on the 18th of january i sent an email asking them to cancel the contract , they rep**** that they will assist me but it was all lies al they wanted was to keep on debiting my account for over 500 rands a month. i eventually went to their head office on the 3rd march where i had the contract cancelled and they promised to refund me 1089.00 rand that they debited beginning of march but they haven't done so up to today, when they said it takes 72 hours.
