Roaming

I have requested roaming probably 6-12 month ago and I stand to be corrected but I was asked voice and/or data. I only requested voice.<br> Anyway I was in Germany on a business trip for a week and suddenly I couldn't make any calls anymore, couldn't send SMS etc. I just couldn't imagine being blocked without notice. IN the evening I asked my wife in SA to check for me since I didn't have the facility to do so myself. If my wasn't in SA I would be completely helpless. She confirmed via the call centre that I have been blocked and requested it to unblock. They advised she should go to the branch. Now what if if she was with me and why inconvenience her? We got work to do and not correct other peoples mistakes. Secondly my bank manages to call me if there is an unusual transaction but my phone company can't pick up the phone/send a message? The words that come to mind I leave out but this is shocking and appalling to say the least. I don't care if I hit a cap - because I never agreed to one nor was I informed about one. <br> <br> I am very much inclined to take up competitors offers because I can't imagine much worse service than this. <br> <br>
