********** by MTN - hiding behind Nashua Mobile

I took out an MTN 3G data contract through Nashua Mobile in Jan 2012 - it soon was apparant that there was insufficient coverage at home so I reported it to Nashua Mobile and MTN. MTN came out to measure the coverage, and after agreeing that it was poor, they offered to install an aerial, but the Estate rules would not allow this. Nashua Mobile said that MTN would cancel the agreement and they replaced it with a Vodacom contract which commenced 14 September 2012. We never used the MTN data again, and MTN confirmed that there had been no activity since the Vodacom contract started.

In 2014 we realized that the debit orders were still being taken from our account, and after complaining the debit order was stopped in June 2014 and we asked for a refund. We were told that there was no record of an agreement to cancel the contract and so we would not receive a refund.

An absolute ******* with MTN hiding behind Nashua mobile who they have now taken over, so again the little guy gets *****ed by the big guy. More than R 6 000 of my money taken from me because MTN cannot find their records!

Hello heaherosborn,

Thank you for your post

Apologies for the delayed response and inconvenience experienced.

Kindly note that we do not have access to those records as you were still with Nashua Mobile. The process to migrate Nashua Mobile subscribers to MTNSP started on 4 November 2014 so any debits that were done before that date were going to Nashua Mobile.

Kind Regards
Siphumezo
