RIPPED OF BY MTN

I was called in February by a telemarketing company offering me a MTN data contract. I accepted the contract offer and was told that I should hand over my RICA documents to the person delivering my sim card in order for my sim card to be activated. I had not used the sim card because I have not had a use for it until this week when my fibre connection was down at home. To my surprise when i tried using the sim card it could not be used because it is RICA barred. I called MTN waited for 30 mins to get help. I wanted to know why my sim card wasn't activated and I have been charged for several months for a sim card that is RICA barred. The lady assisting simply said she does not know. When I told her to cancel my contract and refund me the money I was debited because I never received any data, she rep**** to say that I must pay a cancellation fee. When I enquired why should i pay to cancel something when no services were rendered, I was told to go and ask the telemarketing company who sold the contract to me. MTN I just want to let you guys know that you are *******s. I am paying you guys R199 a month for a RICA barred contract. I want my contract cancelled and all my subscriptions refunded as I do not wish to support a thieving company such as yourselves. In this terrible economic times you guys are still ripping people off.
