******* price increase (21.75%) on contract.

I have just received a call from a woman from Mtn informing me that my contract cost is going up from R262 p/m to R319 p/m! This is R57 which calculates to a 21.75% increase. When I asked whether that sounded like a reasonable increase in an environment where our inflation rate is around 5 or 6 %, she started to tell me that up till now I had a R57 discount which was being taken away! I tried telling her that that discount had never reflected anywhere on my account and it sounded like an excuse to just raise the price. All she was doing was talking over me when I tried to ask whether it sounded like a reasonable increase. Eventually she hung up on me while I was talking. I find this extremely rude. Mtn, you need to do something about price increases like this, as well as look deeply at your customer relationship "methods".
