Ridiculous data rates/ data transmission speed

MTN network speed is good, happy with that, but their data rate is unforgivably ridiculous, super unreasonable consumption of data, I bought a 1-day data of 1GB, and within 10min the data was finished without streaming anything but browsing a less heavy website, This is a problem we are facing as South Africans with MTN and our government needs to intervene, this is a financial abuse to us given that we are working from home due to this pandemic and we are relying on companies like MTN to provide us with connection while working from home. I am so disappointed with MTN :( :( :(
