Ridiculous Cost of MTN Data

I currently have a contract with MTN with a Mega Gigs XS Plan. I only get 1GB, thus I always buy extra data. However everytime I buy additional data then the cost of the data increases. Now when I want to buy 5GB, it's more than double what I paid a week ago. This is completely ridiculous.
