Rica de-registration of sim card

on 20/10/15 I was using my simcard of which was bought for me by my company with no flaws, on 21/10 I tried to make work related calls off the sim and use it as a gateway tomlog into work systems I was suprised to see my simcard offline. I contacted 173C/CARE of which i was refferd to the Mtn Rica helpdesk. Wit no reason why I was told my sim is Rica barred and only the store could tell me why...I mean shouldnt Mtn know whats happening on they side? This is a great inconvienence as this is my work related mobile of which on a day-2-day the office spends alot on airtime to make outgoing calls so i ask what right do they have to cut my services as a paying customer with no warning to the extent where they actually taking food out my mouth as this is a work mobile I use on a day to day period!Really dissatisfied and as if Rica isnt nonsense nough now they are cutting our sim cards we bought and Ricca'd before!!!!!You really done it and i dont believe il resume using the network where on the other hand my 8ta(telkom) and voacom sim that were registered on the same day are still in order till today?

Hello kmokota,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused as a result of this and assure you that it is not our intention to displease you.

There were some numbers that were RICA barred as part of the HLR reconciliation process due to a status mismatch. These have been reversed.

There are numbers that have no RICA record on the RICA Data Base and these will remain barred. All clients that's numbers have been Rica barred will need to Re-Rica to update their details.

We sincerely hope that the above is in order and hope that we are able to restore your faith in us.

Warm Regards
Nompumelelo
