Rewardsco & MTN messing me around
I am absolutely livid!!I don't usually write reviews, but this company has been messing me around for almost a month now, sending me from pillar to post. They phoned me about an upgrade for MTN - stating that they are from MTN, NOT that they are a partner of MTN. I opted to upgrade on one of their plans on 13 September, I received an SMS on the same day stating that the application has been placed on hold as it is with vetting at MTN. I went to an MTN branch stating the above, of which the agent advised that Rewardsco have been messing around many of their clients, and they would suggest to rather upgrade in-store. I attempted to do so, however, the agent could not cancel the request as Rewardsco have blocked them from doing so! I phoned Rewardsco on 23 September to cancel the request, of which they apparently put in the Drop-order request (***). I phoned them back on 26 Sep to ask what is the progress of which they said the request is waiting for action from MTN. I then went to the MTN store and they advised that they still cannot cancel on their system as Rewardsco need to do so, they also did not see the drop order request on the system. That takes me to today, I phoned MTN head office and spoke to their retentions team advising of the situation - the agent kindly dialed in Rewardsco for a conference call, of which Mpendulo answered (call ***). He advised that he would escalate the cancellation and it would be resolved today, he promised to call me back today to advise the progress of the cancellation - of which he did not - no surprise there. So I phoned back at 16:32, managed to get through Mpendulo who made every excuse for not calling me back. He then said he is waiting on feedback from his manager and asked if he could put me on hold to speak to his manager to resolve. I waited on the call for over 30 minutes, where he finally got back to me. He then said the request cannot be cancelled as they're waiting for MTN vetting to cancel it on their end - But MTN is saying it needs to be cancelled by Rewardsco. I told Mpendulo I am not waiting any longer for this to be resolved and asked to speak to his manager...I also asked to speak to the original call centre agent who put in the initial request. MPENDULO THEN PROCEEDED TO PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME KNOWING THAT I CANNOT GET THROUGH AGAIN AS IT IS OUTSIDE OF BUSINESS HOURS!! What is Rewardsco going to do about this? As this is absolutely unacceptable behaviour and I am still stuck in limbo?!?!?!?
