RETENTION / CANCELATION

Hi,

I don't know if its only me but can I get clarity. When I'm taking a 24 months contract with a service provider you get into an agreement for the stipulated period and you sign and agree on only 24 months period.

But why is it when I signed an agreement with MTN for a service for 24 months after 24 months lapses, they still debit my money for the contract which has ended. And when you call they simply tell you its you who should call them and cancel the contract but the agreed upon 24 months contraps lapsed???

And its been a week I'm calling and the consultant forward my calls to Retention but the phone rings and after 30 minutes I just have to disconnect the call from my side because by then the music already made me to dose off especially after a hot lunch meal this cold winter. I had a contract in 2019 and it was a special for 2 Huawei phones. The other phone came with a R55 airtime sim card. Contract ended this year and I upgraded but to my suprise the other sim card they start debiting for it because apparently I should cancel the contract. Which contract because I upgraded my contract the othe phone just came as a special with the primary phone? Even when I call and press 3 for upgrades and cancelation I'm told I'm not eligible for both. And the service consultants send me through to Retention but to no avail!

MTN can I get response and resolution to this case "Dear Customer,Your query *** has been closed. Please contact call center if you require more information. Thank you for using MTN. Have a Y'ello day."

Regards Mphonyana
