Request to cancel contract

I have been trying get my contract canceled as it has reached it term but for the last two days I haven't been able to get Assistant because apparently they systems are down. Mtn you are truly giving a bad service now, I just want to cancel my contract because I don't want you billing me again. When can I have my contract canceled because I receive statements on the 16th of each month, can I have my contract canceled before that.
