Request for cancellation on expired contract

I have 2 contracts with the service provider that were due for expiry on 11 November 2015. I called the service provider on 18 November 2015 to cancel the contracts and for the lines to be converted to prepaid lines. On 3 December 2015 I made a call to confirm my cancellation. It was indicated that the cancellation was still not initiated. ***<br> My concern is that I will be billed next month for a service that I have requested timeously to be cancelled. I have honored these contracts without breach of contract and I do not expect hassles from MTN when I am putting through a request. I am not impressed!

Hello Palesa25,

Thank you for your post.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced with our service.

We do pick up that the cancellation department has called you on the 30-11-2015 on *** to convert the number to prepaid no availability, however they have picked up that you have airtime and data available. Once the prepaid migration is done anything left on the sim card will be lost.

*** and ***, please use the airtime up once this is used up then you can call the 808 service center to send to me the email request to assist you with the prepaid migration for both lines. Please note that you need to call in before the invoices for December month has been finalized. Or you can call me on as per the number on your handset where I called you. Please save the number.

Kind Regards,

Alice van der Merwe
