Relentless Marketing Spam

I have been trying to opt out of receiving MTN's direct marketing and promotional SMS's for two weeks now.

After being ignored for a week on Twitter, someone finally got back to me via email to give instructions on opting out of this spam. After following said instructions on both the app as well as a USSD code (*135*1#), the spam continues.

I thought it was a little ***** that the opt out process was so hidden in the first place. However, now that I have done my due diligence and the SMS's continue relentlessly I am convinced that it is *****.

From my understanding it is ******* that these messages continue thanks to my protection under the PoPI Act.

Please explain why my opting out has been ignored, and how soon I will be manually removed from these marketing lists.
