Relay Tower in Koppie Road Glen Marais ex 18
As soon as there is an interruption of electricity,the UPS (UNInTERRUPTED POWER SUPPLY) batteries goes flat.I use a Walka 7 with the batteries fully charged.10 minutes after power outage,no signal.I have repo<br> rted it to dstv but they referred me to MTN Apparently dstv makes use of mtn to relay their signal.The same with voice and Whatsapp.I phoned a number at MTN yesterday,but the person said that it is not their problem.The walka and Whatsapp only came on stream 50 minutes after electricity was restored.Please can you help?

We are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused and for the delayed response.
We can confirm that load shedding has affected our services. Most towers have a back-up battery power supply, however this back-up supply would normally just last up to 4 hours.
Towers in more densly populated areas do have generators to allow network traffic to continue.
