Rejected Mtn insurance claim

Good day I insured my iPhone 15pro device with Mtn insurance which i took telephonically..i came across an unfortunate incident of house******* which they took my device, i went to police station they gave me a case number for incase i claim for my device.. I called the mtn insurance regarding the matter but unfortunately my claim declined.. Their reasons was i removed the simcard on the device that's why my claim was unsuccessful.. During the conversation when i took the insurance the consultant never made me aware or advised me not to remove the sim which may cause my claim, i then disputed then it was rejected again then i asked for the recordings on the day i spoke to the consultant and they refused to send the recording.. They just giving me the records of sms.. I called them again and again to assist me because im paying almost 40k for that device but they telling me there's nothing they can do..all i told them is im not asking for any compensation but the same device and it's almost a month now without any assistance what they told me is they canceled my insurance and there is nothing they can do.. All im asking is should i pay R40 000 for the phone that i can't even use anymore which i was paying insurance monthly?? Im so hurt and dissapointed because i trusted them and now i can't even afford lawyers to help me with this matter because every dispute i made it's been rejected
