Refusing to cancel my contract while I’m unemployed

I’ve been asking them to cancel my contract since I’m unemployed but they refused,I paid the balance but they don’t want to cancel my contract, I sent multiple emails,it seems like once you sign a contract you’ll pay them forever. MTN have bad service even the staff know nothing is not trained they not aware of the service
