Refusing to cancel an upgrade for incorrect product dispatched

So I received a phone call from MTN outsourced company called Mobile Plus and to sell an upgrade to me 08 March 2019. I strictly told them that I don't want to do business with outsourced company and Phumzile Ndaba, the sales lady convinced me that they are one company with MTN. The phone was delivered on 19 March 2019. Before I signed, I realised that the handset is not the colour I ordered, yet I was given the option to choose. I did not open the package and returned it with the courier driver the same day and requested cancellation of the upgrade with MTN directly.

I was told that I am not guaranteed of the colour of the handset I chose because they dispatch whatever they have available.

To date, my upgrade has not been cancelled because there is only department that does cancellations, they dont have a phone number for you to call them and they will not provide a physical address because it's not a walk in facility. You just have to wait for a response via e-mail.

It's almost a month since I returned the handset and this means I will be paying for a handset that I don't have.

They will not provide a telephone number of the sales lady because it outbound calls only, they cannot receive calls.

After reading this review, what would you as a client think? You cannot speak to or call this "cancellation department ", only via email and MTN Mobile Plus is just waiting. I did say that I would go to hellopeter and was told that the complaint will come back to them and we will just have to wait for an email reaponse, so it won't help going to hellopeter.

I prefer doing the upgrade instore with the correct specific product in my hands but I cannot do this until the cancellation of the upgrade is done.

Would one not assume that this is a hoaks, *****????

Shocking service, MTN, why on earth did you partner with this company!!! And you keep referring me to them instead of helping me.

Annoyed, next step, if this is not resolved before my debit goes off which is in 6 days (considering we have 4 working days next week) I will be going to....ombudsman!!!!

Since this is only published to you, there's twitter and faceboo****
