Refund still not received after 3 weeks

In January 2023 I took my cell phone contract with MTN . Last month (October 2024) I cancelled my cell phone contract and paid the settlement amount of R13 561.48 . Despite settling my contract and contacting MTN when I paid the money at my nearest MTN branch to confirm cancellation I was still debited on the last day of the month despite being advised that this will not happen as I had paid the full settlement amount . It’s been two weeks trying to get my refund , I’ve called MTN numerous times . At first I was told to go to my nearest bank branch to ask my bank to reverse the debit order which was unsuccessful as MTN ensured that the debit order is irreversible . Thereafter after getting ahold of MTN and speaking to a particular Mr Cedric Nkuna who informed me that I’ll get my refund within the next 24 hours (this was on the 31st of October ) … guess what in 24 hours I had still not gotten my money back . I called again , I was sent from pillar to post which then I was advised that back office will send me an email to ask for proof that I had paid the funds (proof of banking and bank statement) , back office sent me an email but guess what :) you cannot reply to that email (email replies are blocked) and I had to call in to ask for an email address to send the documents to . Last week I was advised that my refund willl take 7 working days . After the 7 working days ended (yesterday the 12th of November ) I called in again and was told that it will take 7-14 working days - different story . Every time I called MTN I was told a different story by different people who either don’t know what’s happening in their job or did not get adequate training which I as a customer should not bear the brunt of . But MTNs service has been appalling . When you want to take up a new cell phone contract ? The communication is great , service is great people are proactive in communicating. But when you want to cancel ? People move at a snails pace . I WANT MY MONEY BACK MTN !!!!!
