Refund Policy

Mtn la lucia mall refused to refund back to my credit card as I used the card to pay.Imran said that the policy changed about 5 months ago and opted to give me cash instead.I do not accept cash refunds as I feel unsafe during Covid-19! Hence I pay via credit card.I understand that the method of refund should be the same as the method of payment.Why is Mtn's policy different?
