Refund not accepted??

I had insurance with MTN insurance. I have given notice on the 1st January 2021 by email. They have only rep**** on the 4th January 2021, they don't want to accept this notice as a 30 day notice. Is it legal not to accept the notice? They still want to charge me for next month!! Please let me know if there is anything I can do??
