Re: Unauthorized Debit Complaint [#***]
The beginning of mtn deducted in more than R10k from my account, which I disputed and had reversed. Almost 3 weeks later, mtn sends me statements, purporting it's mine.
Suffice to mention that the only mtn number I have is prepaid, the email address is not mine, nor do I have an mtn app.
I would appreciate a resolution to this matter before month end, please the stop that debit from going through, as it clearly shows that system is not secure, as whoever is doing this has my address and acc# details.

29 Jun 2021, 14:11On Friday, the 25th of June 2021, I visited MTN offices in Bloemfontein to inquire, apparently multiple contract accounts have been opened under my name, there are 5 to be exact. When I gave my ID number and asked what documents I submitted, they showed me my old booklet ID, but the picture thereon was not mine, secondly my payslip was completely ****d, and so were the submitted bank statements. MTN reported this to their ***** department, and until now am still awaiting reply from them.
On Monday I visited FNB, inquiring as to how their debicheck mandates work/operate, as I have never authorized such. Suffice to mention that this is a bank I once thought of to be one of the safest, is clearly flawed, which was evident when their ***** department confirmed that some companies/service providers can debit my account WITHOUT going through the debicheck process. Seemingly this was not known by the FNB College Square manager, who was adamant that no debit order can be instituted without my approval. Clearly FNB's security is flawed, and now am worried what else these ********** have done with the details.
Yesterday, post my fruitless visit to FNB [College Square Bloemfontein], I went to open a case, without which, apparently FNB cannot investigate what happened on my account. Hopefully post the case opening with the police, FNB may be able to resolve this matter, as I'm really questioning my loyalty to FNB.
