Pushing away customers

I've had an ongoing issue with MTN who has spent more and time to try avoid helping me than actually helping me. All I want to do is change my mtn contract number to a different number. I just generic responses as to why it can't be done. The classic answer of "the system won't do it" keeps coming up. Quite ridiculous now! So. Frustrating! Clearly the support staff aren't interested that mtn could make more money with more clients. An example of another sa company that simply doesnt care about customers.

Good day Lawrence,

Thank you for your post.

We tried to call you to no avail.

We apologize for the inconveniences that you have experienced. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

We would like to advise that for you to be able to do a number swap you will have to go to your nearest MTN store. It is only done in the store because there is an upfront fee that you need to pay.

Should you require any further assistance with your account, please write back to us and we will attend to the matter accordingly.

Kind Regards,

Interesting that you can't get hold of me when no missed call has come through?

I keep getting this non-sense message of go into the store. If you have ever been into a MTN store you would know that they don't have a clue when I ask them about this.

Typical "canned" response from MTN.
