Promises promises, but fails to deliver on them

Here is the empty promise from MTN... Sadly, hellopeter seems to be the only platform that you can communicate with Mtn, as their customer service is THAT USELESS... Well Tarryn, I'm waiting to hear from you. And while you at it, can you please explain, how you reserve my ENTIRE airtime balance (regardless if its R5 or R100), the moment I open two apps on my phone using data? Resulting in my not being able to make any outgoing voice calls, unless I first restart my phone?

Official business reply:
Dear Barend,

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused as a result of this and assure you that it is not our intention to displease you.

Kindly note that we have escalated the problem and have also requested for a speedy response in regards to the matter.

We sincerely hope that the above is in order and that we are able to restore your faith in us.

Thank you

Kind regards

Tarryn

Dear Barend,

Apologies for the delay, I had to await a response from our pre paid team as they were doing an investigation to try and see what has happened on your account.

They have come back to show that the usage was validated, as per a report that was pulled it is noted that there were multiple applications running simultaneously and this is the reason for depletion of the data bundles and airtime.

Kindly ensure that you do not have multiple Internet applications running simultaneously in order to minimize the the rate at which your data is depleted. You may contact the data support desk 1555 (free from MTN sim card) or *** ( from a different service provider) in order to get assistance on how to check and close the multiple applications on the your handset. This should alleviate the problem going forward.

Once again we offer apologies for any inconvenience caused as a result of the issue as mentioned in your post.

I hope that you find the above helpful.

Thank you and kind regards

Tarryn - MTNSA
