Prescribe Debt / No response from MTN
To whom it may concern, I had an MTN account many years ago, and all of a sudden this year I'm contacted by MBD Attorneys, with regards to my MTN account. This account has prescribed, I have ever since requested a Prescribe Letter from MTN with no luck. No response to my request from MTN. Will appreciate if MTN can get in contact with me and forward me the Prescribe Letter as requested numerous of times.

Please note this account is prescribed.
I have not acknowledged the debt in the past 3 consecutive years, either in writing or verbally, not made any payment towards the outstanding amount, nor have I promised to pay. No summons has been issued within the last 3 years. They are in contravention of the NCA sec 126b. It states that no person may continue collection or re-activation of such prescribed debt as a prescription act 68 of 1969.
Debt therefore prescribed and I'm not legally bound to repay such. I request this matter be closed. Any negative information will be removed from my credit record. Should I receive any calls I will lay a complaint with the relative authorities, ie, NCR and LSSA.
Please attend to this soonest and email a Prescribed letter that this account is closed.
