I took up a contract Foschini for their MTN 121 deal for data, I would get 4GB for R89.00 billed on my TFG account. I called after 2/3 days after I took it up requesting to cancel as they had taken more than 48hrs to load the data bundles, I spoke to a lady from the 121 call centre she said its cancelled, I will not be charged anything. On the 22nd of February 2019 I received an SMS stating that I have successfully activated the MTN data share plan service. On the 23rd I received another SMS stating that I have successfully deactivated the MTN Data share plan. I checked my balance and I had about 32 GB of data later that day, the next day I contacted 121 customer care and spoke to a Tracy who told me I should use all the data loaded as the sim card will be deactivated in the next 7 days, I asked if I will be charged anything she confirmed “No “I will not be charged. She advises that once the number has been deactivated and says emergency calls I should call so that they can reactivate the number. After 3 days of speaking to Tracy the line got cut with error “Emergency calls only “ I contacted 121 again the lady said she will send through a request to reactivate the line and that was on the 25th of February 2019. Tracy advise the line will be deactivated on 24-48 hrs. I waited the and contacted them after 48hrs and I spoke to Karima who was so Rude to me and said the TAT is 6 working days to reactivate my line and migrate to Prepaid. I was so chocked as this was the first tome hearing a prepaid migration taking 6 days? I have been without a phone from the 25th until today.
Today I spoke to a consultant at Foschini by the name of Sarzana , she states they are waiting for MTN with the feedback regarding the prepaid migration , when I asked her how long is this going to take she stated she does not know how long it will take MTN to resolve their issues on their end. This is so frustrating for me as now I have waited over 3 weeks for my number to be migrated to Prepaid.
