Prepaid Data expires in 2 Days
Im not sure how and why can a prepaid data expires. I paid for the data upfront and MTN owes me a service until my data is depleted. You know I always buys 300MB of data, and the said part is that MTN keeps on sendind me SMS that my data will expire in 2 days. I bought 300MB of dayta on saturday the 27 of June 2015, and today I received an SMS from MTN that my data will expire in 2 days. This is been happening for the last 4 months and whenever I engage the call centre, this issue can be resolved and one of the agents said I must just ignore the message and nothing will happen. After two day my data just disappear and my balance will be 0MB. Imagine you buy prepaid electricity and Eskom send you a message that your prepaid electricity will expire in two days while you still have 100KW worth of electricity, this is insane. MTN is ripping me off and I will fight them until the end, its my hard earned money, and if this is how they deal with prepaid data business they must just close shop.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We are terribly sorry for the inconveniences that you experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.
On the system, it showing that you purchased 300MB Data on the 27 of June, which expires on the 27 of July. However, you also got a free Night Express Data which expires in 48 hours, hence the sms.
Please note that Data Bundles expires in one calender month, but the free data that MTN give to customers expires as per sms you've been getting.
Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We do look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
Regards
Winnie
