Premium increase even though contract expired
My contract with MTN ended last year on 06 November 2014 but after contract expired the premiums increased. I neither upgraded nor renewed my contract with MTN. Initial contact between myself and MTN it was that I have to pay R98.00 and receive an airtime of R 100. Then after contract expired my premium suddenly increased without my knowledge. At the beginning of problems premiums increased to R128 whilst receiving airtime of R100 and I reported the matter but this was not solved. Instead I received a call from MTN to upgrade and I declined the offer, after that my premiums escalated to R308.98 without receiving a new phone. I am not interested to renew or upgrade contract but MTN keep on offering me new contract. I haven't signed new contract with MTN so I demand to receive back my money as MTN is making profit for services that were neither required nor received. The cellphone number in question is ***.
Thank you for your post
Apologies for the delayed response and inconvenience caused.
According to our system, refund for upgrade fee was done and the invoice for the 13/04/15 was R474 and that include calls for R379.
Remember you cannot continue to pay R98 that was for a 24 months contract now you are out of contract.
