Port back to MTN

Good day

I was on MTN network for a long time until I port to FNB contract and now I need to go back to MTN. FNB has done their part on converting my sim to prepaid..MTN tells me to wait three months to port back ..I don't get it because in the afternoon they said I should buy new sim card to port back which I did so now this.
