**** Poor Service From MTN Store

Yesterday my phone lost cellphone reception all of a sudden & did not have any cellphone reception since. Today I went to the MTN store in Wonderpark Mall in Akasia & received the worst service from a gentleman that works there.

Upon his poor service, I learned that a sim swap was done without my knowledge on the 9th of June 2024 & I do not understand how I was able to use the old SIM card that I have been for a good couple of years when the sim swap was done long ago.

The result of this sim swap were online purchases adding up to the sum of R23 000 were done. I went to this useless MTN store explaining to them what was happening as the OTP for online purchases were being sent to my cellphone number. As I am typing this, no one from MTN can assist me. I can’t make or receive phone, I can’t send or receive messages & I cannot communicate with anyone.

I hope MTN can answer as to how a sim swap was done on their system without my knowledge? I also hope that they also realise how detrimental this is & take some accountability for this.
