POOR SERVICE EXPERIENCED

I noticed at the end of October that I had not had a debit order deduction from MTN. I called the 808 call centre and was told by a call agent that no debit order was deducted because there was a credit on my account from before which had now reflected and that the other reason was that I had been a "good payer" for all the years. I though this rather odd and followed up with an email to their accounts department and received an automated response saying that I would receive a response within 8 hours. This was on the 3rd November and todate I have still not had a response. I then received my November statement from MTN showing that there was no balance for October (as I was told by the customer call agent) and that my new balance for November was as stated with nothing in arrears. I then took the telephone call I had had with the customer call agent as correct and utilised the money I had put aside for something else. One of my contracts was due for upgrade so I phoned the upgrades department to do the upgrade and was then told that my account is in arrears. This made me furious so I again tried to follow up with the call centre and spoke to a Mervin Pillay who said he would come back to me. This was on Friday 12th November at 15:30. I have not had a response from him. I then received a courtesy call from Eugene Hadebe telling me that there was an error with my debit order and could they take a double debit order off in November. I tried to explain what had happened and he kept on saying that I could make arrangements to pay. I understand that this money is due but what I cannot understand is that no-one has bothered to come back to me after my intitial query and I specifically asked Eugene to please get someone from their Management to call me regarding this issue. Still I have not heard from anyone but we as customers just have to sit back and take the treatment we are given with no recourse.

Best regards,
This is still an absolute joke. MTN messes up their accounts system and only once I post the review above does anyone bother to contact me. I then make payment to MTN. The amount to be paid was R1095 and in error I paid R1000. I then phone to upgrade and they tell me that I cannot upgrade becuase I still owe R95 (seriously!!!!). I then make the payment and send and email to Snegugu Makhathini asking her to let me know when she has sent the payment through. As anticipated, this does not happen so I again phone ********** for my upgrade only to be told that yes they received the R95 but no I still cannot upgrade because my debit order has not yet gone off. Come on guys. Honestly. This is the most pathetic thing I have ever had to deal with. Quite frankly right now I am so frustrated and angry that I could explode!!!!!!!
