POOR SERVICE, ******
Phindile Jane Zondi took out a contract with MTN in 2009 for me, in July we decided we will not be renewing the contract that was due for an upgrade so we requested for it to be cancelled on the month of August.
On the 25th of August an sms was sent to the number in question that all data bundles, sms and airtime must be used up by the 31st of August as the number will be migrated then to prepaid. On the 10th of September a total of R192 worth of airtime was purchased by myself through my capitec banking, R160 converted to 1G of data(also received 1G free as per MTN' s special) to my surprise at 15H30 on the 17th of September I had data of more than 1G plus more than R25 airtime but at 17H00 it was all gone.
My mother and I then contacted MTN to get this sorted out starting off with an agent named Simon Mabaso (rude as ever) literally argued with him for more than 30 minutes as he wouldn't let us speak with his supervisor, he then hung up the call. Another call we made we spoke to Cebi whom said we need to speak to 173 (prepaid department) but didn't bother to leave any notes like the first agent. Then again dealt with Akhona who said Luciano Norton would call me back
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I am terribly sorry for the inconveniences experienced as a result this. I completely understand the frustration it causes. The matter has been escalated to the relevant supervisory team for urgent investigation. They will contact you directly with feedback and an action plan.
