Poor service at MTN

I tried canceling my contract. No one at MTN can give me the correct amount to pay so that I can cancel my account. I have been to MTN branch thrice and phoned their call centre 5 times thus far. I am currently on hold. My contract is still not cancelled and I have thus far paid R1400, as instructed by them. Their service is absolutely horrible. They think nothing of sending you back and forth and wasting your time. It is the busy festive season, I am moving abroad next week and I do not have a car as I have sold it due or pending move. I am at my wits end. Would not recommend using them.
