Poor service and poor product knowledge

I really don't understand how mtn advises people to do the lte sim swops at mtn shops and when you get there you are told that systems automatically go offline 30min before the shop closes...?

Me and my girlfriend went to an mtn shop in lakeside mall benoni for the lte sim swop and the lady that was there told my girlfriend that the systems automatically go offline 30min before the shop closes.

We just left lakeside mall now and the call centre advises that on Sundays the shop closes at 2pm and we were there around 1:30. But she couldn't confirm the offline story we were told.

We are very annoyed and disappointed by this as customers and have a feeling that we are **** to. I just upgraded my contract last week and still can cancel if this is how we are to be treated.

Today we decided to go to another mtn shop. We went to an mtn shop in Mall at carnival for the same promo of doing a free lte sim swop and get 5 gigs free valid for 7 days as the sms we received states.

1. We paid for the sim card(R3.50).
2. We were not helped as we were told to call the call centre as they are the ones that do such and they don't do that sim swop at the shop.
3. its 21:30 and we just called the call centre as advised by the mtn shop and guess what...? hwala! The call centre agent says we must go to the MTN shop.....

I am baffled, really and by the way going up and down it time and money.

I have lost faith
