Poor service

I went to MTN shop in Durban on West street next to game to do an upgrade to my MTN cellphone contract on friday 10 June 2016. My intention was to take a lower contract value than the one I had. After talking to a consultant, I ended up taking a higher contract value than I had initially planned. The lady, her name Thabsile was of good assistance and she advised that I do a swim swap as the latest simcards were faster in terms of internet connection. At the time of upgrade I did not have my contract simcard. She advised me to come at later stage with the sim to do a sim swap. I left the shop a happy man and excited with my new device.

Due to some commitments, I was not able to get to the shop on sa****ay and only went back on Sunday 12 June 2016. I got to the shop just sfter 10H00. To my surprise the shop was closed, the door was opened but the blugar guard locked. I asked a gentleman( later learned his name was Nicholas) I saw inside if the shop was open and he said it was but he was alone and waiting for someone. I then asked when the shop was goind to open, he rep**** by saying he does not know. I could not wait for the shop to open because I did not have an idea as to what time it was gonna open. I left the shop and went back just after 13H00 same day. I found the same guy and explained the reason for my visit. He first told me they were offline and said I was going to need a proof of address and copy of ID if I wanted to do a swim swap on my prepaired simcard. Since I did not have those documents, I decided to do a sim swap on my contract simcard because there was no need for ID copy and proof of residence. I decided to go fetch my contract phone. I came back with the phone. When I walked back and informed him I was back, he just went out of the shop and left me inside. I called him but another guy inside told me he went to his friend and was coming back. I waited and he finally came back. He did not even apologised. I told him I wanted to do a sim swap and he told me the price. I told him that I was told by Thabisile that it was gonna be done for free as part of the upgrade. I tried explaining to him that I was going to be at work the following day. He told me that there was nothing he could do and that I should go back only when Thabisile was at work because if he did it, the money was going to be deducted from his salary. I left the shop a very disapointed man. The service was very poor. I still have not done my sim swap and dont know if I should go back to that shop again
