According to the consultant Mpo on 14 April (14:13) ref no *** this was activate via USSD code from the phone on 30 March, 31 March and 10 April. To date I don't even know what the USSD code is necessary to do such an action!! I request her to please de-activate the service from my account (A***) which she confirms is done by herself on the system.

On 18 April (10:18) ref no *** I follow up regarding my initial question as to how this service was activated on my account if I did not do it but again the only explanation is that I did the activation and will have to pay the charges. My account for the past 6 billing periods has been R253.51 and suddenly this is now R686.74 - unfortunately I pay by debit order and should I stop the payment I will be blacklisted for a service I did not even request. There is an existing recurring data bundle on the contract which is more than sufficient and I also have got a separate data contract for the home so why would I request another 3GB of data?

Again on 18 April (10:42 consultant Mike) ref no *** I am re-assured that the recurring self-service data bundle has been removed from the contract and just to make sure I contact MTN again on 22 April (9:55 consultant Lucky) who assures me that it has been cancelled.

But this morning 12 May I receive 10 seperate SMS's from MTN informing me as follows:

Y'ello, you have been credited with 3.66GB Data and 100 Minutes.
