Poor network coverage
I've been having cell phone contract with mtn since 2012. But from the area where I come from I don't have 3G network let alone 4G. They still operating at their 2G coverage. When I want to make a call I must move around to a spot where at least I'll have 2 bars of network on the phone. Sometimes the call gets cutted even before you finish. MTN seems to care less with its customers who are in rural areas. My advice to you is think twice before buying an mtn Sim card, first make you have enough coverage or else you'll have to drive to a better place to get network.
